An app that will help you save money on your food bill is Favado.
The app sifts through grocery store ads and alerts you when certain items are on sale.
It's a free download available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Users don't have to create an account to view the deals, but you will need to create one if you want to make a shopping list.
From there you select your area (ie: Phoenix, Glendale) and it finds the stores closest to you, such as Fry's, Safeway, Bashas', Sprouts, Walmart, CVS, Costco and Whole Foods.
The app lets you look at the deals at your local grocery store.
If you create a shopping list, it will let you know which of the stores has the particular item on sale. Then you can email the list to yourself and print off the coupons at home.
So here is yet another tool to help you save money on your food bill.
