SCOTTSDALE — What's old is new again the Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market!
Friday through Sunday, check out more that 130 vintage curators and handmade artisans from across the country, filling over 120,000 square feet at WestWorld of Scottsdale. There, you'll find some very unique items that are chippy, rusty, handmade and full of history. There will be things like old items, wall decor, furniture, doors, backdrops, frames and so much more! General admission is $8 at the gate only. Early admission, whether that be on Friday night's VIP event or early Saturday morning, is best to get online. Otherwise, you'll spend $5 to $15 more at the gate. To break that down further, Friday night's VIP shopping is $50 in advance or $65 at the gate. Early entry on Saturday is $20 in advance or $25 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free!
You can get $1 off admission at the gate if you are a military member, are wearing any official Junk in the Trunk Market apparel, or bring items to donate to the organization, Maggie's Place. You're encouraged to bring a package of disinfectant wipes, diapers/wipes, and feminine care products. Maggie's Place provides houses of hospitality and ongoing support to help pregnant and parenting women in need.
Heads up! You may want to carpool because it's $5 per vehicle to park.
The organizers gave us some insider tips, and we paraphrased them below:
- It's okay to ask for a discount. Most dealers will give 10 percent off the top.
- If you're getting multiple items, you can probably score a steeper discount.
- If you're there a few hours before closing, vendors want to try to sell everything so they don't have to load as much. So, you might be able to save the most then!
- Be NICE! Rude customers won't get discounts.
Shabby and chic will always be on fleek! Yes, I said it and not just because it rhymed, but also because it's true!
