In this week's edition of Tasty Tuesday, we're getting saucey, talking about meals and the unlimited "pastabilities"... And by that, I mean pasta!

OLIVE GARDEN PASTA PASS INFO:

Olive Garden announced that Pasta Pass is BACK for it's sixth year, and that means 24,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes will go on sale this Thursday (August 15) at 11 a.m. (MST).

Here's how it works. You spend $100 (plus tax), and that gets you one of these passes, nine weeks of unlimited access to the Never Ending Pasta Bowls (unlimited pasta, homemade sauces, pasta toppings), soup or salad and bread sticks. This is one week longer than last year! So, if you're one of the 24,000 to score the Never Ending Pasta Pass, you'll be able to use it from September 23 to November 24. It's only available for dine-in guests, and not available for online or to-go orders.

But, for the first time ever, they're going even bigger with what they're calling a Lifetime Pasta Pass!

When you put your Never Ending Pasta Pass into your cart to check out, you have the option to click the box to upgrade to the Lifetime Pasta Pass. So, what does that mean? On August 16, the day after the flash sale, 50 people will be selected to score a lifetime of unlimited access to pastas, homemade sauces and toppings, accompanied by unlimited soup or salad and bread sticks! If you're selected, it will be an additional $400. So, technically, you would spend a total of $500 (plus tax). When you break it down though, you would basically break even once you hit your 45th bowl. So, if you went to the restaurant once a month for three years, it would pay itself off, and then you'd enjoy free meals after that! Or, if you went twice a month, you'd pay it off just under two years.

TIPS:

Use the right browser. They recommend Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you're on your phone, it's recommended to use Chrome or Safari. Then, get to the site early for the online waiting room, starting at 10:55 a.m. (MST) on August 15. To get to the waiting room, go to pastapass.com. There will be a countdown clock, and then you can click "Buy Now" when it's available. DO NOT REFRESH the screen.

When the Never Ending Pasta Pass is in your cart, you'll have eight minutes to complete the purchase. The Never Ending Pasta Pass costs $100 (plus tax), and then you need to decide if you want to click the box to opt-in for a chance to upgrade to the Lifetime Pasta Pass. If you're one of the 50 selected the next day on August 16, then you'll pay an additional $400 (plus tax), so $500 total. It will be available to use all day every day (except Thanksgiving and Christmas when Olive Garden restaurants are closed).

If you go to check out but see a sold-out sign, that means they're all gone! Be quick during the process. Last year, when the annual pass was offered, it sold out in less than a second.

So, good luck!
