I love my music, but sometimes I just can't get it loud enough.

Well the Boom Cube is supposed to solve that problem.

The claim is the tiny cube will make your music sound 10 times louder with bumpin' bass and quality sound.

But will it work? Let me try it, before you buy it.

Before you can bump your music, you need to charge the boom cube for eight hours. The re-chargeable battery is built into the device. It also has a very short cord that plugs into your music source.

Next you turn it on and you’re ready to listen to the boom.

We compared the same music using computer speakers, smartphones and laptops. The Boom Cube boosted the phone’s volume level, but definitely not ten times louder. And with the loudness comes distorted sound. The quality is not so great.

As for the computer speakers, they were actually louder than the Boom Cube.

I found the Boom Cube at several stores, including Walmart for about $11 and Amazon.com for under $9, and I have to say I definitely wouldn't spend the cash.

I give the Boom Cube a thumbs down.

If you don't want to wear headphones and you're looking for a portable speaker, we had better luck with the Music Bullet.

It'll cost you about the same price and has better quality sound.
