A Surprise woman can't help but wonder if she really got a fair shot at winning the Powerball jackpot.

Jenn Woods says when she got home with her stack of tickets she realized the date on one of them was expired.

When she went back to Walmart, where she purchased the tickets, to tell the cashier of the expired lotto ticket, she says the clerk handed her yet another expired ticket.

"We looked right at the date and said, 'Wait this is also from Saturday," Woods said.

She is pretty sure the clerk was taking them from a stack of tickets that had already been redeemed from the previous weekend.

She says the clerk finally printed a new ticket for her after confronting her, but she feels like something was off from the start when she purchased the original ticket.

"As she was printing the tickets she put them on the counter and did a change of hands kind of thing which I turned to my son and said, 'That doesn't look right,'" Woods said.

Walmart says it has reviewed the security tapes and believes the clerk made an honest mistake. However, Walmart is reviewing how tickets are handled to make sure this never happens again.

Woods says this is a lesson for the next time she buys a lottery ticket.

"Lesson learned, just check your tickets," she said. "Check them right there before you leave the store, don't trust anybody."
