A Silver Alert has been canceled after authorities located an 82-year-old man reported missing Wednesday in Sun City.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the wife of Perry Wilson reported him missing around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

MCSO said he was found safe around 8 p.m. in Pinal County.

He was last heard from around 12 a.m. when Wilson asked his wife if she wanted to go with him to visit his mother in the "hills," MCSO said. But Wilson's mother has been dead for nearly 20 years.

Wilson did not take a cell phone with him, and he left his home near Thunderbird and Del Webb boulevards in a maroon 2003 Buick Century with Arizona license plate YNO TME.

MCSO said Wilson has been diagnosed with Dementia and is known to have several heart and lung issues.

Wilson does not drive and has not driven in the last couple of years with his driving privilege listed as suspended or revoked.

His wife told MCSO she believed he was not even able to start the vehicle.

Authorities searched the area, including spots where Wilson frequents, such as the nearby bowling alley, their church and local grocery store.

An attempt-to-locate was also issued in surrounding areas, as well as Colorado, where his parents used to live.
