Authorities say a man arrested on suspicion of DUI showed up drunk to pick up his impounded vehicle and urinated on the police station.

Around noon Monday, Peoria police say an employee alerted officers about a man relieving himself on the wall directly in front of the main police station near 83rd Avenue and Mountain View Road.

Detectives found a puddle out in front of the station, and learned the suspect had walked into the building.

Authorities say the man, identified as 55-year-old Joseph Wasylk, had been arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence and had returned to pick up his impounded vehicle.

Officers say Wasylk smelled strongly of alcohol, and responded by saying “I am not incosicated” when asked if he thought it was a good idea to pick up his vehicle while intoxicated.

Wasylk was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure and booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail.
