Police in Goodyear are looking for a man who assaulted and attempted to kidnap a female at a McDonald's restaurant on Monday morning, said authorities.
Police said the suspect hit the 19-year-old female in the face and attempted to bring her into his truck at the McDonald's near Interstate 10 and Dysart Road around 5:20 a.m.
The woman fought back, police said, was injured, but was able to get away. Her clothing was ripped in the kidnapping attempt.

The man was captured on surveillance cameras going through the drive-thru about four hours before the attack. Police say he had been spotted hanging out in the parking lot throughout the night.
“We do know that this person is known to be a regular customer at that McDonalds, but again, hanging out at a parking lot all hours of the night would be considered suspicious activity," said Lisa Kutis, public information officer with the Goodyear Police Department.
A manager at the McDonalds said they weren't commenting on the attack. Police wouldn't say whether the victim is an employee, a customer, or if she was just passing through the area.
It's also unclear if the man was targeting the victim.
“I totally give props to the female trying to do it (fighting him off) because it shows that she’s just standing up for herself,” said Alondra Orozco, a Goodyear resident.
“It’s better to be in groups than by yourself because when you’re by yourself, people can prey on you. All it takes is for someone to knock you upside the head," said Sherman Marshall, a trucker.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, about six feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue basketball shorts.
He was driving a white Dodge crew pick-up truck. Police released a surveillance photo of the truck at the McDonald's drive-thru.
