Police search for suspect after crash in Glendale; Grand Avenue closed down in both directions

Police are looking for a suspect driver who fled from the scene of a serious hit-and-run crash in Glendale early Friday morning.

According to Glendale police, the crash occurred on Grand Avenue near Bethany Home Road after 4 a.m.

A motorcycle and silver vehicle were both traveling northwest when they collided.

The motorcycle rider, a 30-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the silver car reportedly fled from the scene on foot. Officers used K-9s to search the area, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 6 feet tall, between 35 and 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.

Both directions of Grand Avenue were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
