A gunman allegedly used Facebook to set up a fake profile to rob a man of his Air Jordan collection.

Court documents reveal 33-year-old Daniel Nunez found the victim on the Facebook group known as "AZ Sneaker Community."

Glendale Police say Nunez used a fake profile to contact the seller, and asked the shoe collector to deliver the Air Jordan shoes to the courtyard of Nunez's apartment complex on January 27.

The victim told police he was suspicious when they met because Nunez did not match the picture on the profile. He was right. Nunez then took the shoes and pointed a handgun at the victim.

The victim ran away, but called police, giving them a detailed description of Nunez and the high dollar shoes. When police went to the apartment complex, they found Nunez still in the courtyard of the apartment.

They search his apartment and found the stolen shoes, according to court documents.

Nunez admitted to detectives that he had the shoes, but denied robbing the victim. Instead, he told police that another person gave him the shoes and ran off.

He was arrested and booked into jail for armed robbery and aggravated assault.
