Police are looking for two robbery suspects who carjacked a couple at gunpoint Friday morning at a Glendale apartment complex.

Officer Tracey J. Breeden said police are looking for a Hispanic male and female, both approximately 20 to 30 years old. The male has dark brown hair and facial hair and was wearing a navy blue or green jacket.

The female was wearing a gray jacket and jeans.

Police said officers initially received a call about an armed robbery at an apartment complex near 43rd and Peoria avenues. The callers, a male and female in a car, told dispatchers that the suspects approached them, displayed guns and ordered them out of the vehicle, according to police.

The suspects then drove away and, according to the callers, fired shots from the vehicle before crashing into a dumpster within the apartment complex. Police do not know if the shots were fired in the direction of the victims.

Officers found the vehicle and have set up a perimeter in the area to search for the suspects.
