Police: 5 students caught 'huffing' at school

Five elementary students in Glendale were caught "huffing" on Thursday, according to police.

Police spokesperson Tracey Breeden said the five students attend Horizon Elementary School, but all are expected to be OK.

She said via email that one student fainted and two were being taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Horizon is located near Butler Drive and 47th Avenue.

"Huffing"is a general term referring inhalant abuse. Common items include hair spray, room deodorizer, cooking spray and paint thinner, according to the Mayo Clinic.
