A woman has been arrested after her home was apparently filled with cockroaches in Glendale.

According to court paperwork, officers responded to an apartment complex near 63rd Avenue and Maryland on Monday for a report of a family fight.

When officers responded to the scene they found 26-year-old Treola Jimison was inside the apartment with three of her children under the age of 6 years old.

Court paperwork indicated crying and screaming could be heard inside the apartment before officers knocked down the door.

When officers entered the house they found cockroaches all over the house. They said there was no edible food in the apartment and mold was growing on dishes.

Court paperwork indicated all three children were well nourished. One of the children had diaper rash.

The children are now in custody of DCS.

While officers spoke to Jimison she appeared to be under the influence and was slow to respond to questions.

Jimison later admitted her house was unlivable and she thought it was dangerous for the three children to be living in the home. She also admitted to smoking marijuana and told police she would bring the children to a neighbor’s house so she can smoke.

Jimison has been charged with three counts of child abuse.
