Glendale police say two officers were injured during a struggle with a fraud suspect Thursday night.
The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. at the Walmart store near Loop 101 and Camelback Road.
A male and female suspect were caught changing price tags on Legos to buy them at a lower price.
When the couple were being taken into custody, a struggle ensued. Police tried to use pepper spray and mace on the male suspect, but he wouldn't back down.
The fight turned physical and one of the officers suffered a laceration to his head. Another officer broke his finger, according to police.
Officials tell ABC15, they believe drugs played a part in the crime.
Detectives are investigating if the incident involves other fraud schemes.
The suspects are not being identified at this time.
