Police have arrested a man who they believe shot and killed a 28-year-old man in Glendale on June 11.
According to the Glendale Police Department, around 1:15 a.m. there were calls of a shooting near 71st and Glendale avenues. Fire officials found Xavier Flores in a parking lot with a single shotgun wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Information provided to police revealed Flores was in a verbal argument with Alejando Flores-Armenta, 23, in the parking lot when he was shot by Flores-Armenta who then fled in a black sedan.
On June 14, police arrested Flores-Armenta in connection to Flores' death; he faces a 2nd degree murder charge.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
