Firefighters were dispatched around 5 p.m. for a reported house fire near N. 51st Avenue and W. Brown Street.
They arrived to find flames coming from the roof of a home.
Investigators believe the fire started in the attic.
Authorities did not immediately have an estimate or description on the amount of damage.
All seven people inside, including five children, were able to get out safely, firefighters said.
The Red Cross and the Glendale Fire Crisis Response Team responded to help the family with temporary housing and other needs. A dog was also unhurt, authorities said.
