Glendale police say a man was arrested at Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals game for inappropriately touching a woman.

Several witnesses told police that Benjamin Mauro grabbed the woman in a sexual manner at some point while inside University of Phoenix Stadium.

Police paperwork claims a woman was standing in a stairwell of the stadium when Mauro walked up the stairs. As the man passed the woman, he placed his hand on her leg, under her clothing and proceeded to touch the woman.

The woman hit the man with her phone and held onto Mauro's shirt until a security guard responded to her request for help.

Officers say they did detect an alcohol odor on the suspect, but have not officially confirmed if alcohol played a factor in the incident.

Mauro told police he did not touch the woman. A witness did tell officials they saw the man inappropriately touch the woman.

Mauro will be charged with one count of sexual abuse.
