Scottsdale-based Axon Enterprise Inc. has secured 18 orders for its Taser weapons and Axon body cameras for police agencies across the U.S.
The large domestic orders included one Valley order: 300 Taser 7 weapons and 300 Axon Body 3 cameras and related equipment for the Glendale Police Department.
In February, Glendale police body-camera footage went viral after it showed an officer repeatedly using a Taser on a man in 2017, while his wife, two children and a friend watched.
The incident prompted a federal lawsuit and one officer’s suspension.
