Investigators are looking into a "suspicious" fire in Buckeye Valley.
Three different fire departments responded to an abandoned church near Palo Verde and Buckeye roads on Saturday afternoon.
Fire crews encountered some difficulties while battling the flames because of the building's weak structure and a lack of water in the rural area, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
An MCSO arson investigator was at the scene because of the fire's "suspicious" nature.
The building was once a church but hasn't been used in years. There was no electricity inside.
