Authorities say a woman and a child are dead after a rollover accident on Interstate 10 west of Goodyear.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the driver of an SUV lost control and rolled into the median about 11 a.m. Monday.

The vehicle was heading east on I-10 when it entered the median. The driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to roll several times.

Nine people were inside at the time. Six were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance, while one was flown from the scene.

The name of the 4-year-old boy killed in the accident hasn't been released, but officials identified the 31-year-old woman as Maria Del Carmen Chavez of Glendale. The boy is also from Glendale.

Investigators said driver fatigue is the suspected cause of the rollover.
