Officers were involved in a deadly shooting in Avondale on Tuesday night. 

According to information from the Arizona Department of Public Safety at the scene near 111th Avenue and Indian School Road, a man fired at officers, forcing officers to shoot back. 

Avondale police said they were initially called to the scene, 33-year-old Moises Balladares was threatening suicide. Officers began negotiations with the subject. During the negotiations, Balladares pulled out a weapon and the officers were forced to use deadly force. 

Balladares was treated for his injuries and later pronounced dead.

 No officers were injured. DPS is handling the investigation.
