Police say a construction worker and one teenager have both been shot at a vacant home near Lower Buckeye Road and El Mirage Road in Avondale.
Avondale police say two construction workers arrived Friday around noon to work on the home. The workers reportedly found three teens inside the home and planned to call police. One of the teenagers pulled out a gun and a struggle began.
During the struggle police say the gun went off twice, shooting one of the construction workers in the stomach and a teenager in the hand.
The construction worker and the 15-year-old male teenager were both taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
Police have detained the other two teenagers, a 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old male for questioning.
Information on the construction worker's identities or ages has not yet been released.
