The Tempe Police Department is investigating after a person was seen running from an apartment with a gun.
The individual was seen shooting, at least once, into the air, police said. The incident happened in the area of University and Hardy drives.
Police originally detained one individual, who they believed was the shooter, but later said the person who was detained was not believed to be the actual shooter.
Officials are still looking for a suspect, and they believe this incident to be drug related.
