Police say a man barricaded himself in a Tempe home after shooting at his neighbor's house.
Authorities were called to the home near Alexander Boulevard and Mill Avenue on Sunday night.
It's believed that a man inside the home, later identified as 61-year-old James Barnet, fired several shots and a neighboring home was hit, police said.
In the past, authorities were called to the address to investigate a domestic disturbance.
No one in the neighboring home was harmed.
Police say Barnet is being charged with discharging a firearm at a residence, unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits, criminal damage and endangerment.
