Can you help a local food bank in need?

The United Food Bank lost over 21,000 pounds of food on Monday after a freezer broke.

The food bank said the lost food would have served Valley residents in need for nearly three weeks.

"This freezer has not been empty since 2010," Dave Richins, President and CEO of United Food Bank explained. "Which is when we built it."

It will cost the food bank more than $10,000 to fix the freezer.

The food bank cannot accept frozen donations at this time, but you can donate here.
