Police have arrested a man who stole ear gauges from a business and then placed the stolen property in his mother's home.
According to the Mesa Police Department, on November 27 shortly before 2 a.m. there was a burglary at Name Brand Exchange Store near Southern Avenue and Dobson Road.
Police found a display case that was broken as well as a broken window. Near the window, a cell phone was found.
Police were able to identify the number and its owner as Marc Esparza.
Esparza was found about 30 minutes later in the nearby are by police. When confronted, he admitted to police that he stole ear gauges and placed the property in his mother's house.
Police were led to Esparza's mother's home where belts, jewelry, perfumes and sunglasses, all valued at over $5,000, were located along with the stolen ear gauges.
The man was booked on one count of burglary.
