Hundreds of people came together for the monthly Ahwatukee Eats Food Truck Picnic, but this month, the event was a fundraiser to help a Mesa man who is battling cancer.

Each month, Bell Mortgage puts on the food truck event with live music, raffles, and silent auctions, and sponsors a charity or cause.

A few months ago, Will Foster, 37, was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer.

Foster's family and two young kids are having a difficult time while he's in the hospital receiving his last round of chemotherapy. However, they're extremely grateful for the community's support.

His sister-in-law, Brooke Grucella, says it shows what kind of man Foster really is.

“There is so much that he’s done in his life that’s impacted us and the community at large that they’re rallying back for him," she said.

All of the proceeds from the raffle fundraiser will go to his family.

If you missed the event, but would still like to help the family, they've set up a donation page to help out with medical costs.
