Emergency responders conducted a disaster drill at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Tuesday morning.
Officials say airports and first responders have to go through disaster training scenarios at least every three years. It's an FAA mandated requirement.
Over 200 people and 15 agencies assisted with the drill.
The drill simulated a collision between a fuel tanker and a commercial airplane. It wrapped up around 10:30 a.m.
Disaster drill complete. Responding agencies sharing "lessons learned."
