FD: 3 people attacked by bees near 56th Street & University

At least three people were attacked by bees Thursday evening in unincorporated Mesa, according to the Rural Metro Fire Department. 

Officials said two men, ages 22 and 71, were working in their yard near 56th Street and University Drive when they were stung. A woman who is allergic to bees was also stung, but her condition is unknown at this time.

Firefighters are spraying foam on the active swarm.
