UPDATE 11-30-15: Great news! The pups were adopted together Monday!

Two best friends are looking to run around their new forever home just in time for the holidays. They probably won't be chasing mice, but may chase a squirrel or a tennis ball.

Tom and Jerry, a Pit Bull and Chihuahua, are both two-year-old neutered males and they've formed a close bond since being picked up on Nov. 17.

The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control says because of their friendship, they need to be adopted together. They're both fighting a cold, but would feel much better being in a warm home.

The adoption fee for both Tom and Jerry is $100.

The pair is at the MCACC East Valley Animal Care Center near Rio Salado Parkway and Price Road in Mesa.
