A woman is accused of attempting to rob a Gilbert gas station but left empty-handed.

On June 20, police were called to the Chevron near Guadalupe and Gilbert roads after a woman attempted to rob the gas station after pulling a gun from her purse.

According to officials, the woman walked into the convenience store and waited for the customers to leave before approaching the register.

The woman allegedly demanded money from the store clerk who refused to comply. The suspect was then chased out of the store and then sped off in a tan or gold Chevy Tahoe.

She is described as being white or Hispanic, between 25 and 30 years old wearing a black shirt and white shorts. The rear license plate was hanging by a wire on her SUV.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward. Please call Silent Witness (480-WITNESS) if you know anything about the woman’s whereabouts.
