The Loop 202 San Tan was closed westbound for several hours into Sunday morning after a crash near Val Vista Road.
The Department of Public Services says a Mustang and a truck collided, and crashed into the median around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The driver of the Mustang drove away from the scene but was eventually arrested and will be charged with aggravated assault. The driver that left the scene is also suspected of being impaired, according to DPS.
A passenger in the truck suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Loop 202 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
