A 72-year-old man in Gilbert is accused of assaulting his roommate's 20-year-old girlfriend.
According to court records, the woman has recently moved in with her boyfriend who lives in Gilbert. He had a 72-year-old roommate.
Police said on Feb. 26 the woman came home and went to bed. The woman told police that she locked the door because the older roommate was "super weird." Her boyfriend was in another part of the house.
Around midnight, the woman said she woke up to Douglas Allan Goetsch on top of her and touching her inappropriately.
She pushed him off and yelled at him. Goetsch than reportedly asked if she wanted to watch a movie.
Goetsch was arrested and faces two counts of sexual assault.
He told detectives that he was drunk at the time and remembers waking the woman up to watch a movie, but denied he touched her.
