Authorities say a woman survived a three-vehicle accident in which her SUV was involved in two collisions that resulted in her vehicle being wedged under a tractor-trailer.

The SUV's top was partially sheared off and firefighters had to extricate the woman.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred Friday morning on the westbound Loop 202 freeway in Chandler.

According to DPS spokesman Bart Graves, the woman's SUV collided with a work truck, which then struck the freeway's center wall, causing the SUV driver to lose control of her vehicle. The SUV then crossed to the outside traffic lane and wedged underneath big rig's trailer.

Graves says the woman's injuries aren't life-threatening and that nobody else was injured.

He says it isn't known what caused the initial collision.
