A 37-year-old Chandler man is accused of trying to meet up with a 16-year-old girl for sex.

An undercover police officer posing at a teenage girl began talking with a man on the app, "Tagged," on May 11. The next day, according to police records, the man, identified as Todd Dean Miller, texted the girl about wanting to pick her up and meet for sex.

The conversations were sexually explicit in nature and the man said "he was good" with the girl's reported age.

Police picked a local Wendy's as a meeting spot where Miller thought he was meeting the girl. He drove up in his moving truck and was arrested by police shortly after.

He told detectives that he knew the girl was underage, but "stated he wanted to see if the girl was real or if the police were setting him up," according to the police report. He also said he hadn't had a wife or girlfriend in a while and wanted one.

Miller was booked into jail on one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
