US 60 was closed in the far East Valley for several hours following a three-car crash that left one person dead.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Raul Garcia said one person was killed and one was left injured after the Wednesday evening collision on eastbound US 60 near Idaho Road.
DPS identified the person killed in the crash as Audrey Gilbert, 73, from Superior.
According to DPS, troopers were on scene of a vehicle fire in the area when the deadly crash occurred in traffic backup.
