A man is hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a car west Phoenix.
According to Phoenix police, a 52-year-old man was attempting to cross the street near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road early Saturday morning when he was struck by the car.
The driver, a 30-year-old woman driving a Pontiac Aztek, stayed at the scene of the accident and was cooperating with officers.
Neither speed nor alcohol is believed to have played a role with the driver.
