If you have patio furniture outside your home, you may want to think about securing it after a pair of thieves were caught on camera stealing some in Phoenix.

The victim caught the crime on his home surveillance system. It happened early Saturday morning near 111th Avenue and Camelback.

He said a man and woman emerged from the darkness around 3:30 a.m., wearing gloves, and carefully removed a plant from the patio table.

In less than 15 seconds, a table and two chairs are gone and so are the thieves.

The homeowner believes the pair were prepared likely cased his house before striking.

"That seems a little bit worrying, in a way," said Christian Cordova.

"Even though it was just material stuff, it makes you cautious in a sense of my family and protecting my family.  Somebody could come and do something like that, it's an uneasy feeling."

Cordova is a pastor at a nearby church. He said he forgives the thieves and hopes the two learn from their mistake.

Phoenix police said a report was filed and no other thefts have been reported in the area around the same time.
