PHOENIX — A family of five is safe after a shed caught fire and spread to a portion of their home.
Crews with the Phoenix Fire Department were called to the home on Meadowbrook Avenue, near 27th and Campbell avenues, around 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
Firefighters were able to put out the flames that were coming from the shed. They prevented the fire from spreading to a majority part of the single-family home.
All of the people living inside were able to get out safely. The family of five and two dogs are working with Crisis Response units to find a place to stay until it's safe to go back home.
Nobody was reported hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
