The Arizona Department of Public Safety took a suspect into custody for reportedly waving a weapon at another person Thursday afternoon.
The suspect, driving a sedan, waved a weapon at someone driving a motorcycle near the I-17 and Thomas Rd.
The report led DPS to the house of the suspect.
DPS said this incident does not appear to be connected to the freeway shootings.
The suspect is in custody while DPS investigates the incident.
No information on identities has been given.
