A person is dead after crashing into a U-Haul truck in Phoenix.
Reports first came in around 12 p.m. Friday after a pickup truck reportedly ran a red light and struck the U-Haul near 27th and Lincoln avenues, a Phoenix police spokeswoman said.
According to authorities, the driver of the pickup truck died at the scene and the U-Haul driver is hospitalized with serious injuries.
It's unknown if impairment was a factor in the crash, officials said. An investigation is ongoing.
