Fire crews were able to extinguish active flames from a brush fire located at the river bottom near 91st and Sunland avenues.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews were called out to heavy brush that was on fire.
Crews were able to gain control of the fire shortly before 7 p.m. As of 8:30 p.m., fire crews still had good containment on the fire. Come 8:50 p.m., there were no more active flames.
