No injuries were reported after a suspected impaired driver crashed into a Phoenix home on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened at a residence near 24th Street and Roeser Road just before 2:30 p.m.
No one was home at the time of the collision, according to Phoenix fire officials.
Police say the driver, a 24-year-old man, fled from the scene but was captured a short distance away.
He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and was released, police said.
The home sustained significant damage in the crash, Phoenix fire said. Several sections were cordoned off, according to spokesman Capt. Jake Van Hook.
