An egg-cellent guest was seen at a Phoenix U.S. Egg restaurant on Friday morning.
According to U.S. Egg, a stray chicken was spotted in front of the store at 7th Street and Greenway Road. It wasn't just passing by, though -- the chicken laid an egg right outside the eatery's doors!
One photo from the store owner, Mario Gebran, shows the chicken cooped up behind a newspaper box with its egg on the sidewalk.
The owner scrambled to get a few photos before he called animal control and had the chicken safely removed from the property.
There is no word on where the chicken came from or why it crossed the road.
ABC15 reached out for an interview with the hen but were told the subject was too chicken to talk.
