Authorities say one person has been seriously hurt in a crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle in north Phoenix.
Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to the area of 19th Street and Union Hills Road. Witnesses told police the pedestrian, a woman, was crossing mid-block when she was hit.
The driver remained on scene and impairment is not a factor, according to a Phoenix Police Department spokeswoman.
The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
