Pedestrian in critical condition after crash in north Phoenix

The Phoenix Fire Department says a woman was hit while walking near 19th Ave and Bell Road Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the woman is in life-threatening condition and has been taken to the hospital.

According to Phoenix fire, the woman was found approximately 30 feet from where the vehicles crashed.

Police say two vehicles were involved in the crash, and at least one of them knocked over a power pole in the area.

Police have not said what caused the crash, or if anyone would be arrested. They're also asking that people avoid the area while they investigate.
