Octavia Rogers, the woman accused of killing her three sons in a Phoenix home, was booked into jail on Sunday.

New court paperwork is giving more insight into the heartbreaking early Thursday morning incident.

Officials say Rogers was found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the triple murder and her attempted suicide.

When police arrived, they found she had harmed herself and was "screaming about the creator, and that she was the creator and wanted to go back to the creator."

She had been talking about "having the answers" and referenced the Mayan calendar. Paperwork also says she had been doing "online research into various religious ideologies."

Documents say Rogers told her brother, who originally called police, that her three sons were with her boyfriend and then said they were with another woman.

The brother was concerned about where the kids were and reportedly contacted both the boyfriend and the other woman, who stated they didn't have the children.

At one point, Rogers also told him "for all I know, (the children) can be in the closet."

Officers conducted a thorough search of the home and found all three boys lying underneath stacked items inside a closed closet.

Police also found a blood-soaked sheet and at least one knife at the scene.

Autopsies on the three boys determined they died from multiple stab wounds.

Rogers is facing three charges of first-degree murder.

ABC15 reached out to the family of Octavia Rogers. A woman who answered the phone said they were not in a position to do any interviews right now. She said the family was holding up as best  as they could as this was all very tragic for them as well.
