For ten days Beverly Stafford has been staring at a picture of her son James wondering where he is.

"My son is missing and his girlfriend is dead. It's the stuff crazy is made of," said Stafford.

James Stafford was last seen with his girlfriend Annie Warren on February 6.

On February 7, Gila River police found Stafford's car flipped over near the intersection of 79th Avenue and Baseline Road.

Warren's body was found on February 8 about 100 feet from the scene of the crash. No sign of Stafford has been found.

"If Jim is out there and he is oriented. We want him to know that we are looking for him and that his family loves him no matter what," said Beverly.

Beverly says police have conducted an extensive search of the area. So far it isn't known if Stafford was in the car, if he may survived the crash, or if he may have run off after.

"This is torture no knowing," said Beverly.

Police say Stafford's car crashed during a single vehicle accidents shortly after 1 a.m. on February 7.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
