Officials are investigating after a man's body was found at the scene of a Phoenix house fire Friday morning.

The fire happened at a home near 45th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Phoenix fire officials said crews were called to the home after family who went to check on the man, identified as 35-year-old Rosolino Marchiafava by Phoenix police, saw smoke coming from the residence. The fire was out upon crews' arrival.

Firefighters found Marchiafava dead inside the home.

The cause of both the fire and the death are being investigated by Phoenix Police and fire investigators. Police do not suspect foul play and are awaiting information from the medical examiner's office.
