Tuesday is judgment day for a Phoenix woman who ran down her boyfriend with her car.

In May, Misty Wilke told police she didn't mean to hit her boyfriend she was distraught and trying to get away after he’d dropped the bombshell that he was HIV positive and taunting her.

Wilke told police she pushed her boyfriend and he cut her with a knife while they were at Norton Park near 12th Street and Hatcher Road. She said she didn’t immediately realize she hit him and continued driving before leaving her car nearby and catching a ride home where she later called 911.

Newly released court records suggest a different story and say witnesses heard Wilke threaten to kill her boyfriend with her car as she was driving donuts around him at the park just before running him down.

Wilke accepted a plea deal for aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident. Her sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday.
